Welcome to Handy Man by Ken, where our dedication to quality furniture repair is deeply inspired by my upbringing on a family farm located just four miles from town—an oasis of hard work and hands-on learning. Surrounded by 300 chickens, 300 turkeys, 300 geese, pigs, horses, and even a small fish pond, I learned the value of managing responsibilities at a young age.

My father, a skilled craftsman, was my mentor in both the art of repair and the day-to-day operations of our lively farm. From hauling feed to tending the animals, I gained invaluable life lessons on hard work, diligence, and attention to detail. Under his guidance, I built sturdy fences to keep our animals secure, constructed chicken coops to comfortably house our 300 chickens and geese within the 10.5 acres, and learned how to lay pipe for the water filtration system that ensured all our animals had access to clean water. These practical skills, along with cutting pipe and laying down cement, became essential in maintaining the farm’s infrastructure.

These experiences instilled in me a profound love for working with my hands and an appreciation for the craftsmanship that goes into every project.
